Social Dancing
at Treacys
Clare has forged a proud tradition as a hotbed of music and dance, from traditional Irish ballads, music and dance incorporating influences from multiple musical genres such as folk, country, jazz, song, pop. Over the last number of years social dancing has enjoyed a resurgence and now provides an active and vibrant social scene. For many Marquee social dancing events of the year are held as part of the Lisdoonvarna Match making festival held annually throughout the month of September. For the rest of the year the social dancing scene moves to multiple locations around County Clare. Treacys West County Hotel is one of the most prominent venues in the county.
So don’t miss your chance to dust off the dance shoes and take to the floor for some wonderful dancing. Whether you prefer to Waltz, Foxtrot or Jive your way through the afternoon’s entertainment or just take a seat and watch the dancers as they boogie on the dancefloor
Every Sunday throughout the year, legions of fans of social dancing flock to Treacys West County Hotel to dance to the sounds of some of the top bands playing on the Social Dancing circuit. From Clare’s own Michael Sexton, Ted & Cathal Barry, Michael & Philomena O’Brien, Dave Lawlor, Checkers and many more provide the soundtracks to a most enjoyable form of exercise and dancing.
For Social Dancing Ireland, look no further than an afternoon at Treacys West County, one of the best hotels Ennis had for weekend dancing.
